ABOUT CHEERVISION YORKSHIRE
We are on Facebook
Cheervision North a pioneering and exciting 'Cheerleading Programme' was brought to the North of England in 2009 by Brooke Urbani. Coach Brooke took several squads from strength to strength winning many places at national competitions and performing for Fates, Gala’s and Festivals throughout Yorkshire. Brooke and her husband emigrated to South Africa in August 2011 to be with family and handed the reins to Coach Siara .
(With a slight change in name) ‘Cheervision Yorkshire’ continues to be an active member of ‘The British Cheerleading Association’ and our 'AWARD WINNING' cheerleading and stunt squads already have many performances for 2011/2012, lined up including ‘Newcastle Metro Arena’ (BCA) competition, ‘Cheervision Yorkshire’s’ first Annual awards and in-house production is on 16th December 2011, (with tons of awards and medals to hand out, this years presentation will definitely be one to remember). Cheervision Yorkshire also have gala, fates and festival performances to prepare for in the spring/summer terms.
All our coaches are fully CRB checked and Registered with either ‘BCA’ (British Cheerleading Association) or Future Cheer. Our coaches are highly skilled and committed to furthering their cheer skill's and knowledge to give all our cheerleaders the best training possible. They do this by taking part in several cheer courses and completing qualifications throughout the year.
Cheerleading is a dynamic team sport in which the cheerleaders do choreographed routines to music. Cheerleading involves cheers, chants, jumps, dance, tumbling, gymnastics, partner stunts and pyramid building. Cheerleaders have to master difficult and demanding athletic techniques, so commitment to developing strength, flexibility, stamina as well as a positive and encouraging outlook is a must.
Cheerleading is becoming one of the fastest growing sports in England. National and International Cheerleading Championships are held in Telford each year, as well as several regional competitions in other cities. There are currently over 400 active clubs registered with the British Cheerleading Association.
